If you would have asked me five years ago would I have 50+goats and now starting to teach other people how to make recipes made from Goat Milk. I would have told you, you were crazy. There was no way we were getting goats when we moved to our new farm, yep no way.
Then we moved onto the farm and it looked like Henry was not going to grow out of his dairy allergy and Freya was going to keep struggling with dairy as well. And by dairy I mean cow milk, So when a family a few miles away posted a few goats for sale we decided okay we will buy two bred goats and that would be it.
I am sitting here laughing as I type this because those 2 goats started a journey we never thought would happen.
We fell in love with goats!!! It all started with Ginger, and Sugar and then Fern and Hope. None of those goats live on the farm anymore but they taught me so much and we will forever be grateful for those 4 ladies.
Now we are on our 4th kidding season and still learning so much. We have downsized and we have expanded. We have tried a few different breeds.
This was our biggest kidding season with 15 in milk and many to still kid over the summer.
Follow along as I teach you how to make soap, lotion, cheese, caramel, fudge and so much more!
